Business!

Saint Nick's Day has come and gone and I haven't posted in a while! Well......I have plenty of things going on. This Saturday was the craziest though! I woke up at 5:30 a.m. to babysit for a couple going to the temple and played with their girls until about 12 in the after noon. After getting home I helped clean the house with everyone else till being picked up to babysit again at 1:30. We also had the Ward Christmas Party at 5:30 that night. I helped out allot with the human nativity and clean up before going to my friend Olivia's house to try on some clothes. She surprised me with an early Christmas present of scented body lotions and candles! I love them and use them regularly.

The next day I woke again at 5:30 to get ready for choir practice at 7:45. We planned to sing in Sacrament Meeting that day and got there to find that it had been canceled due to tired throats from the party the night before and not enough people showing up to practice. After church, I went to my cousins' house across the high way to help them knock doors. Kyle(13), and Page (11) were in the musical of The Night Before Christmas and were needing to sell tickets. I got home and had a wonderful lesson from our home teachers before going to bed.

I woke the next morning with a bad cold and cough. After taking some medicine I was able to walk to my Spanish class with Ty in tow. Nothing really happened after that. Tomorrow I have another choir practice during mutual and Thursday I'm babysitting for my Spanish teacher. Her two little boys are adorable and love dancing, playing tag, and making forts out of their bunk bed. Saturday is another early morning as I have a Temple Trip at 6 a.m. to do baptisms for the dead! So exciting! Sunday we will be singing in Sacrament and we will sound awesome!

The 24th is Christmas Eve and my cousin and friend Kaylee's 14th birthday is soon after! Yay! Christmas is obviously the next day and my Nana and Papa Peterson will be arriving the day after. So excited! According to my Dad we will be taking a tour of the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory while they're here......Yum! New Year's Eve is my Papa Robert's Birthday and then it's 2014! My 14th birthday is in Feb.and my friend Zander's is a couple day's later. My Uncle Hammy and Uncle Sam's birthday's are right after that in Feb. and March.

In June I'll be visiting my home town Fallbrooke, CA for as long as I can. I can't wait to go to the beach and smell the salty air and feel the ocean spray against my face. I hope to spend time with both pairs of Grandparent as well as friends Kaylee, Zander, Gunnar, Audrey, Trent, Mason, and plenty of others.Kaylee will be coming back to Texas with me to spend to rest of the summer swimming in the Texas humidity and heat.

I hope to hear from you all soon! ~ Kaile Peterson

Mud Monsters :D

So on Fridays, me and my friend  Delaney Bedwell, get together for Science, as we are both home schooled  Well, being who we are, we don't do much science. :). And what we did this Friday was so fun! We were watching Ty, and another little boy, Carson. We decided to have a water fight with our water guns we had gotten for Easter, and we got into our bathing suits. We had fun for a couple minutes, Delaney sprayed on some tanning oil and asked not to be sprayed. This of course is what made me spray her. :) I sprayed just her legs at first to see how she would react to a full spray down. She acted like she didn't care that I sprayed her legs, so I took it positively.
Aim, and Fire! She was drenched from head to toe. She turned to me and grabbed the nearby hose and sprayed me right back! We all fought like this until the parents got back. Then me and Delaney played in the mud. We got in trouble later, but it was totally worth it! The first time anyway. : /.

The History Of The Unicycle:

A UNICYCLE is a human powered, one wheeled transportation device, similar to a bicycle.
The Unicycle is constructed of :

  • The Wheel
  • The Cranks
  • The Pedals
  • The Fork Style Frame
  • Seat Post
  • & The Saddle ( Actual Seat)
The world's first multiple-stage unicycle race, " Ride The Lobster"  took place in Nova Scotia, June 2008. 14 countries participated and each covered the ground of 800 km. Each team consisted of 3 riders and 1 support person, there were around 35 teams so adding it up that meant 140 people participated, not including the audience. Wow. It is not mentioned who the inventor of the unicycle is, but who ever it was was certainly a mad genius.

Easter

Yay! Easter has come, and I got a headlamp, a watergun, and lots of candy from the Easter Bunny, and a Horse Calendar and Earrings from my Nana Roberts! Yay! Today we had lots of fun with the water guns, they shoot really far! But lets not forget the real meaning of Easter, I love Jesus and Heavenly Father, and know each of them love me and everybody else in turn. Easter is meant to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. He gave his life, and suffered in Gethsemane for our sins that we may be forgiven of them.

Lately I've been listening to music from Les Miserables on Pandora, and one thing that struck me in particular was that in the song " Javert's Suicide", Javert doesn't know of God's forgiveness, and some of the last words in the song before he dies are......
" And my thoughts fly apart
Can this man be believed?
Shall his sins be forgiven?
Shall his crimes be reprieved?

And must I now begin to doubt,
Who never doubted all these years?
My heart is stone and still it trembles
The world I have known is lost in shadow "

And I really felt sorry for him that all those years, he had not ever thought that God had mercy and forgiveness as long as you repent. He had thought that if you do something wrong, the minute you died, you went to Hell. I felt so loved and thankful to know the true gospel and that if I make mistakes, I will be forgiven as long as I repent, I don't have to go to Hell if I make a tiny mistake, I am Thankful for my parents, grandparents, friends  and family that keep my faith strong.

Austin Zoo"

So, I know I have been awful about this whole " I'll write every day!" thing. But I haven't had much stuff to write about! Now I finally have a little something although it's probably not that interesting.
Yesterday me and my family except for Dad went to the Austin Zoo for Garrett's field trip. We went and got to meet some classmates of his and got to see all the animals. It's not the best zoo in the world as you people who have been to The San Diego Wild Animal Park must know. But it's a step higher than the redneck zoo with this sign on the front door.

:) So when we were there, we saw lots of animals, but the lion, Caesar was the most disgusting. Do you know why? He sprayed at us through the bars! It was disgusting! I caught it on video, but would rather not show it to you. : / Yuck!

Little America

Hey guys! OK, so a couple weeks ago a wonderful member of our ward, Sis. Crane, asked my Mom if she would like for her to take me and Claire, along with her sweet 8 year old daughter, Emily, to a miniature horse place called Little America. It's awesome! We go every Thursday! I've made 3 new friends, Josh, Cameron, and Casey! Cameron and Josh are guys and Casey is a girl, they're all my age and it's nice to have  some friends. Mr. Tony, the nice guy who runs and owns the place is awesome! I look forward to every Thursday and LOVE going. If any body said to find a happy place, I would either go there or the church or my house. It makes me so happy to be there, and I love every one there, they're so nice! I love the place and  count down the days till Thursday!

The Wind

Hey Guys! So yesterday there was a really bad wind, when we went to South Park Meadows, we had to pray in the car that we wouldn't blow over it was so scary! My mom said that there were 40 mph gusts!!!! So we get home and try sleeping through the howling, well, this morning we woke up, and our fence had blown down, and our play structure blew almost completely off it's stone foundation! It ruined some of the screws, stripped some nails, and pushed off some wood pieces on it. Guess we won't be playing on that for  a while! Hahaha!

Bonanza

My dad introduced me to Bonanza about 3 weeks ago, and already it's my favorite show in the world! It's 4 cowboys in an old show from when my dad was a teen. It's amazing! And one of the first shows to make me cry was the episode "The Truckee Strip".

My Birthday

I'm so excited! My 13th Birthday is coming up soon! I haven't figured out what my birthday party theme is going to be, but since it's my 13th birthday party I want it to be special! So we looked into Blazer Tag and it's very probable that that's what we're going to do! Hahaha! I'm not having any presents, but the guests are paying entry, which is only $10.00. Afterwards we are going to go home and eat doughnuts! I'm super excited and hope it all works out! Have a good day!

Summer Pictures, Finally!!!

Hey! I've been bugging my Nana & Papa for the pics we took when I was in Cali for Napa Camp. Well, I've finally got them! Hope you enjoy!

I arrived in Cali with no delay!
My Nana and Papa Peterson took me out on a speed boat. I loved it! As you can see from the pics below.
This is when we went to pick out the boat. We were taking silly and nice pics at the same time!
See! This is a nice one.

This is not. : / Hahaha!

Papa Peterson drove, and the wind blew off his hat! we had to go back and get it. It smelled awful after that. Hahaha!
I kinda felt like a dog in a car. But who cares when your having fun! Everybody who knows me knows that I certainly don't!

They had a HUGE army ship! It was awesome!

The gorgeous Star of India. WooHoo!

After the ride we went to Little Italy to have some food and look around! The food was great and the city divine!

This is me and my Nana after we had finished eating! I had been looking at the flowers in the pot so we took a pic next to it! Hahaha!
This is the "Little Italy" sign that you see as you drive into town. Isn't it cute?
This is my Papa's old house from when he was a boy! He lived pretty close to the beach, lucky him!
After Little Italy we went for a walk on the beach! It was wonderful! We had to be careful because seagulls were flying over us.

I told him to be careful! Hahaha!

This is my Grandma Hazel! She's super nice and I love her sooooo much. I miss her allot and I want her to know that.

Me and Zander were decorating his bike for the round about bike race in the parking lot of the stake building, it was fun seeing him again!

Poor Zander! He was the only guy! But that's ok, I think it's an awesome pic of friends.

On the actual 4th of July we went to my Nana and Papa Roberts house for a party! It was fun!
My Aunt Rachel and my little cousin Sophie!!! Isn't she cute?

Me being Me! I think I went a little overboard.

My Uncle Wade! Isn't he funny?

Hahaha! Zander on the way to the temple, we were all fooling around with the camera!

Audrey wouldn't let me take a picture of her but everyone else did! It was super fun! This is Tahlia! She's one of my best friends!
This is a pic of all of us at the temple. We all had fun there and afterward went to the beach! And I finally got a pic of Audrey!

Hope you enjoyed the pics! These are the only ones I have for now, but I promise to have some more soon! Have a good life!

Sunday School

Today, we got new classes! I went into Sunday School for  the first time today and I really liked it! In our first lesson we learned about the difference between I know the Church is true, and I know the   Gospel is true. We had a really good lesson! It was interesting, the diversity of the two. But the thing that really got at me was my next lesson. We were learning about the God Head. The question was "If your trying to teach someone the gospel, how do you explain the different personages of the god head in a way that suggests that Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are NOT one being?" Well that made me think. After a while, I came up with an answer to share with the class.

My reasoning was that people in the different religions aren't learning the "full" truth. They're only learning about the members of the God Head themselves, not the different personality traits and diversities of the God Head members.

For example: Fruit. When people see a bowl of fruit, they think " Oh! Fruit." But if you're shown the different contents of the bowl, you see all the different colors, & flavors.

Heavenly Father: Just, Kind, Our Father

       Jesus: Forgiving, Caring, Our Brother

Holy Ghost: Comforting, a Desire for Us to Do Right

And  then, I started thinking of it as a flame. Heavenly Father is the intense flame, roaring and cracking.   Jesus is the fire log. He is the provider and the forgiver and he takes upon us all of our sins, like a log soaking up the flame. Holy Ghost is the candle, with it's soft, gentle glow that starts the fire along it's way, and helps us choose the right.

I loved the lesson and hope to have a wonderful rest of the year.
